Buy-to-play · sandbox progressionBlack Desert Online guides
Black Desert Online is a buy-to-play sandbox MMORPG with the deepest life-skill economy in the genre. Combat is action-based and the progression systems are deliberately open-ended, which is either the best or the worst thing about it depending on what you want from an MMO.
The intended entry point for a new account is a seasonal server: accelerated progression, a defined gear path and a graduation reward. Starting on a standard server as a new player is the most common self-inflicted mistake in the game.
