Throne and Liberty: 7 Beginner Mistakes

The beginner mistakes that slow Throne and Liberty players down most: weapon hopping, ignoring guilds, wasting upgrade materials and misreading the gear grind.

Throne and Liberty has an unusually high rate of players quitting in the first three weeks. Almost none of them quit because the game is too hard. They quit because they spent those weeks on things that do not compound.

1. Weapon hopping

Every weapon combination needs different gear and skills. Switching at level 30 because a video ranked another combo higher throws away resources you have already spent.

Still deciding whether to install? The worth starting piece is the honest version.

2. Treating it as a solo game

The endgame is guild territory. Sieges, guild bosses, coordinated PvP. Not in a guild by the end of week one? You are playing a demo of the game.

3. Upgrading the wrong item first

Upgrade the piece that gates your damage. Beginners upgrade what looks impressive and stall their farming speed for weeks.

4. Ignoring daily and weekly content

Daily systems are the only income that does not scale with how long you can play. Missing them is not "playing casually". It is leaving the main income stream switched off, and the gap compounds weekly rather than daily.

5. Buying gear off the market too early

Early progress comes from materials and upgrades, not purchases. Buy after you know what your build needs. Not before.

6. Chasing the meta before gearing

Meta builds assume fully upgraded gear. A B-tier build with upgrades outperforms a meta build with none. Every time.

7. Playing in the wrong server-time window

Content is scheduled, not spontaneous. If you can only play when your server is asleep, join a guild in another region or accept that you will miss the organised fights.

The pattern

Fix the first two and the rest becomes normal MMO work. Pick a build, farm it, show up for your guild. Everything else is detail.
