Essence is free to play with a cash shop layered on top. The difference between a player who spends wisely and one who regrets their purchases comes down to knowing which items change your account and which ones only look like they do.

The main systems

SystemWhat it doesVerdict
L-CoinsSoft premium currency earned from missions, attendance and eventsEarn them. Do not rush to buy.
Sayha's GraceAccelerates experience, SP and drop while activeBest use of money, if you are actively farming
Magic LampExtra experience through a lottery-style systemA multiplier on activity, not a substitute for it
PremiumAccount-wide bonuses to experience, SP and dropBest value per hour played, worst value per hour idle

The principle that matters

Essence rewards time spent farming more than money spent. A boost multiplies your activity.

Spending starts with the character, so read the class overview before buying anything class-specific.

Play two hours a week? No boost will close the gap with someone who plays twenty. Decide how much you actually play first, then decide whether boosting that time is worth paying for.

Sensible order of spending

  1. Earn L-Coins through the free systems before buying anything.
  2. Boost only during periods when you know you will farm consistently.
  3. Prefer account-wide bonuses over single-character ones if you plan to play more than one character.
  4. Never spend on power you cannot use yet. Gear you cannot equip is not progress.
  5. Ignore limited-time pressure. The shop will still be there next week.

What not to buy

Avoid anything promising immediate competitive advantage on a fresh server. Everyone starts equal there, and buying early spike items is the fastest way to spend real money on an advantage that expires within days.

A note on rules

Buying currency from third parties, trading accounts or hiring "boosting services" violates the game's rules. It is also the leading cause of permanent bans and stolen accounts. Everything you legitimately want is either in the official shop or farmable in game.
